Health & Safety

SIMARK Construction Limited fully complies with the Health and Safety At Work Act 1974, along with the Management of Health and Safety At Work Regulations 2006 and all relevant safety legislation in order to maintain our excellent Health and Safety record.

Overall responsibility for Health and Safety lies with our managing directors in conjunction with our external advisors, The Ryder Partnership, who carry our training, advise on all Health and Safety matters and carry out site inspections and safety audits.

Our Health and Safety policy is reviewed annually and outlines our commitment to provide safe working conditions for all operatives and people affected by our work.

Prior to all works being carried out we identify hazards and a full risk assessment and method statement are produced and communicated to all operatives through site inductions and toolbox talks before any work commences.

We are a CHAS Accredited Contractor - CHAS is an authority and trusted advisor on health and safety compliance. They are an authority, setting industry benchmarks, providing assurance and reassurance.

We are Constructionline Certified - this platform is used to quickly identify high-quality Suppliers. To become a certified member, SIMARK Construction Ltd has to demonstrate that it meets Constructionline’s rigorous assessment criteria covering aspects such as professional conduct, financial information, proof of insurances, previous experience and references.

CSCS

Construction Skills Certification Scheme

CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry.

CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.

100% of our carpenters hold current CSCS cards.

CITB

Construction Industry Training Board (CITB)

At SIMARK Construction Ltd we like to keep on top of training to ensure our operatives are appropriately skilled and experienced for the work they are carrying out.

Our operatives attend courses such as CITB Health & Safety Awareness and in addition to this our Site Supervisors all hold CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Certificates.
